American Auto Trail-Burnet’s Grant (Elkhart to Long Lake TX)

This American auto trail begins in Elkhart, Texas, which was named for a Native American who aided the early settlers.

From Elkhart, this travel route follows Texas Highway 294 east to U.S. Highways 79 and 84 and the Trinity River.
