Following the now abandoned route of the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, this video also approximately follows the path taken in 1778-1779 by the Spanish Governor, Lieutenant Colonel Juan Bautista de Anza, in his campaign against the Comanche chief, Cuerno Verde (Green Horn). The route explores the Taos volcanic plateau and the land of the Ute tribe of Native Americans.
