This travel route starts in the northwestern end of Colorado’s San Luis Valley at Saguache. It follows the earlier route of the National Park to Park Highway auto trail up San Luis Creek, over Poncha Pass, to Poncha Springs. Much of the route enjoys the panoramic view of the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness.
