American Auto Trail-Abo Pass Highway (Fort Sumner to Vaughn NM)

This travel route explores the Abo Pass Highway (U.S. 60) across the Pecos Valley of east central New Mexico. Starting in Fort Sumner, the travel route follows the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway to Vaughn. Explore the wide open spaces of De Baca and Guadalupe counties as the highway climbs from the Pecos River to the junction of the AT,T&SF and the Southern Pacific railroads.
