American Auto Trail-Pikes Peak Ocean to Ocean Highway (Buena Vista to Leadville CO)
This travel route travels north from Buena Vista, Colorado, following up the Arkansas River valley walled in by rough hills, to Leadville. The route accompanies the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad along the previous Pikes Peak Ocean to Ocean Highway and later U.S. Highway 24.
