This travel route in the American Auto Trail series explores the route of the Dallas-Canadian-Denver Highway/X All Highway from Huntsville to Madisonville, Texas. The route traverses a region originally occupied by early Native American tribes before the explorers of Spain arrived. Some of the earlier settlements of the Mexican state and later Republic of Texas were located here.
